Rhode Island Blue

Hello! I was wondering if anyone has had experience in raising/dealing with Rhode Island Blues? They're listed as a cross between Rhode Island Reds and Black Australorps. I haven't found much info on the internet about them. I have a shipment of chicks coming in a week from now but have an opportunity to get some RIBs in a couple of days and wasn't sure if I should go for it or not. I can't find them anywhere else which is why I'm considering this breed right now. Any info would be appreciated.Thank you!

I haven’t come across any nor have I heard of them, but as far as color genetics: you won’t be able to breed a blue rooster with a blue hen and get blue offspring. Some may be blue some lay not. But if you do get some let us know how they work out

OMG! Ribs! I don't even realize what I typed lol I need to edit that it's crossed with a Blue Australorps instead of black. I have Black Australorps that I love so I think I'll go for it and just have a lot of chicks at once

My local hardware store will be getting some of the RIBs () in on June 8th. I'm considering adding a couple! I'm intrigued by them lol. Something new!

Just got our pretty RIB girl and she's a snuggler! She looks like a black silkie but with clean legs.

Her face is pretty dark so it's hard to see her face lol but she's sweet as can be! BTW, my husband said no more too
