Did she lose feathers first? or did something get a hold of her like a dog? Nothing I have ever seen, but it looks like the skin is broken and that's her muscle. Like someone else asked, is that poo on her butt, or did she have a blow out when laying a large egg? Poor thing, sorry I am no help.

yes my RIR's molted, as far as i am aware, all the breeds molt between 12 and 18 months.

No, a dog did not get a hold of her. My 6 chickens are the only pets in my house & yard. Yes, that is poop, we discovered this today when we tried to clean it off of her.

it looks like the 2 feathers sticking out on the bottom have lice eggs stuck on them

I've been battle lice on my hens for 2 months now

....tried DE, then sevin dust and a poultry dust from tractor supply. I'm going tomorrow to get a liquid kind from the feed store.

I believe they might be, she is in her laying cycle.
