Rhode Island Red gender issue

Hello, we bought this one a while back unsure if it was male or female. Unfortunately I’m starting to think it’s a male. Any help would be appreciated with what it could be.

We are not supposed to have Roosters because of the noise. About how old well he be before he blows his cover?

I'm not convinced its a cockerel. How old is it ? Does it crow? A better pic of the feet would help. Looking to see it is developing spurs. See also attached image for breed from web. Age will help a lot. The comb and wattles are still similar to the hen in the pics but again if we are talking about 17 weeks they are only just beginning to differentiate themselves. See also my BO roo who is 10 months old. notice the long feathers from the head down to his back and then on to his tail and compare it to the RR breed pic. Same thing long neck feathers which I'm not seeing in your pics. Also notice how the back feathers drape like he's wearing a cape. also look to see if the tail feathers continue to get longer and start to drape or roll down. Others may be right . Time will tell . Good luck. I wanted hens and got 4 roos instead LOL . Hope your luck is better

Also if it is a Roo, they don't just crow a sunrise like on TV. All day long. At night too if they're in the mood or something spooks them
