I have 10 RIR that are 3 weeks old. I have them in a coop that is 10x11. They are great birds and are very friendly.

I think that they are very good at laying eggs

:cdMy co-op is a home made 5x5x4 co-op that is raised 5 feet of the ground. It has a ramp that leads into a 12x12 run. It was originally a horse stall but we put up a wall along one side and we let them out for an hour a day. We have recently had dogs attack them and get into the co-op killing 4 of the original 8. I have recently put up a play wood fence allowing the bottom of the co-op and plan on eventually pouring concrete along the front. they are great chickens and are now aboutba year and a half old.
