Rhode island red questions

I had a few standard RIR's and they were all sweet as can be.
My rooster was a perfect gentleman, never mean towards any people, but would be protective of his girls if dogs came around.
He was huge, as big as my Buff Orpington rooster.

My neighbor swears my RIR roo weighs 40 lbs.! I don't believe he does but hes big and so pretty. Shines in the sun and those long black feathers on his tail are gorgeous!

Well I'm hatching bantams, so I don't have to worry about them being too big. I really like the big roosters though. I love their crow and they look so hug-able.

I have a banty RIR rooster and 2 hens.

He treats his girls good and makes sure to let them know when he has found food. I added 3 standard pullets, and after the pecking order thing, all is calm.

He lets us pick him up, he loves to be talked to and petted. Every once in awhile, he gets a little attitude, but we lightly push him away with our foot and he settles down. We've only had to do it a couple of times.

For the most part, he is a gentle rooster and the girls like him.
