Well, it's confirmed, of the 12 chickens I picked from a person who found them to be too much work three turned out to be Rhode Island Red Roosters. They are coming up on 12 weeks of age showing some beautiful coloring and developing their teenage voices. Sadly I don't want or need roosters in my flock so Huey, Dooey and Louie (or Curly Toe, Moe and Larry) must find new digs soon.
If anyone living in the Norther Virginia Area is interested in one or all of them I would certainly be happy to let you have them for free. I would be happy to meet you half way on your trip or even bring them to you.
