Rhode Island red rooster

Hi, I bought 2 rhode island red pullets at my local farm store and one of them looks like a rooster??? They are about 4 maybe 5 months old. I haven't heard "him" crow yet but pretty sure it's coming

They look like New Hampshire reds. There combs develop very fast. I have 2 about 5-6 months and development looks similar I had suspicions about one of mine but the both lay eggs!

Looks like two girls to me. By that age you'd have sickle feathers etc. Also- another dead giveaway- the feet/legs. Roosters by then would be much bigger and their legs/feet would be way bigger than the hens feet.

Looks like two pullets, one is just a bit older than the other.

Yes the comb and wattles look huge but that tail end is all girl for 4-5 months. Some pullets of certain breeds just get large combs and wattles but don't worry, they are both female.

They both look like pullets to me, it's just one has a huge comb.

Both are pullets. The one with the larger comb will be laying eggs soon.

Oh yay!!! I was sure I was going to have to rehome him, glad to hear he's a she!!! Thank you everyone

As others have said, both are pullets. One is simply maturing more rapidly than the other. Expect eggs soon.
