I have an outside pen that I move around the yard when I do not want my chickens free, (hawks fying around) I asked my husband to move it and as he went to put it down he got the chickens leg. She was not feeling well this morning with her tail down, but she ate. She has a long cut on her leg. It is not a deep cut, and is ever so slightly swollen. She doesn't even look like she is limping. What would be good measure to keep infection out and to help heal. Should I seperate her? She has been eating. Thank you.
Thank you for replying. I seperated her, washed her leg and applied some Hydrogen Peroxide. She ate and is resting comfotablely. I'll see how she is in a few day and I am pretty confident she will pull through and be up and around in no time.
