Rhode island red with what looks like half silky half normal feathers??

Funny thing is, he was a school project from some unknown farm XD. We are debating having him take over for our elder main rooster. So what's with the brown spots on the feet??
She’s a good quality breed that is closer to SOP (standard of perfection) because of the dark, mahogany coloring. Most RIRs are hatchery quality with much lighter coloring. Yours are beautiful and rare these days.

I don’t think it’s particularly common, but I have RIRs and in my research I remember reading that they can have brown lines up their shanks and on their toes. Mine are standard production RIRs from TSC…. Pics for comparison

I've seenrhode island red roosters before, and all of them had normal feathers. But this little roo developed what looks like shiny, half silky, half normal feathers. He also has dark brown spots on his feet, and pointed feathers on his head. Do they sometimes develop those feathers? He's not just shiny on his back and tail. He's shiny all over. Head, back, tail, neck, even thigh and chest feathers. I'm not worried, I'm just merely curious why he looks like this.View attachment 2733493View attachment 2733494View attachment 2733495View attachment 2733496View attachment 2733497View attachment 2733498View attachment 2733499View attachment 2733500View attachment 2733501View attachment 2733502View attachment 2733503
You’re looking at sex feathering on male and then the fluff section on the picture showing feather on thigh.

I know the flight feathers are normal. I was meaning all the shiny feathers he has on his head, neck, back, and tail. The pics don't show exactly what I'm meaning unfortunately XD. The paralleparallel barbs on the feathers (other then the flight feathers) don't stick together in a solid form like usual. Instead, they kinda fan out instead. So much so, that when looking at his saddle feathers (which he has) look more like tiny feather dusters.

Also, his feet have these dark brown spots on the front, but are more yellow on the back. Do Rhode island reds normally get that? Mine never have.View attachment 2733574

Color is reddish horn and is described as color on the yellow legs on Rhode Island Red in APA SOP.
