i have a black australorp rooster who is just start to mount the hens, i was thinking about hatching some of the eggs. how can i tell if they are fertilized and also does anyone know what the pullets will end up looking like?

Put the eggs in an incubator and candle them at 10 days. If they are fertile, you will see an embryo inside the egg. The offspring will be basicly a black color. They will leak some red or white depending on the genetic make up of the rooster. He could be silver or gold.

Well as far as the color of the offspring gos I would say that they should be a good percentage of them that are black maybe some having leakage of red in there back..
