rhode island red?

HI, i was wondering if a rhode island red would be a good chicken. are they aggressive?
i've heard they are great layers. is that true? Thanks

I have 18 chickens of all different breeds. I will tell you however that the most of them are RIR's. They are great egg layers, but are slightly aggressive towards other animals. My dog shadow barks at them and normally they peck his beak. But overall they are sweet to there owners. Also there beaks are normally trimmed so if they peck you it won't hurt. Overall they are a great egg layers, which btw the eggs are delicious, and they are not aggressive towards there owner. Just one more thing...Every chicken is different so you may end up with a mean one.
