Welcome to our forum!

I'd suggest you read over the first two sections in the Learning Center tab at the tp of the page. Good luck!

Thank you. I been doing alot of research but Im always willing to take advice.

Welcome to Backyard chickens, glad you joined the flock. The first thing to come to mind is chickens are flock animals, and do best with a buddy or two. Unless you plan to keep your chick as a house pet (many people do). Do you have plans to add more birds?

When you chick is about 6-8 weeks old you can post photos at "what breed or gender is this."

We do plan on getting more. Our roommate bought a RIR at the same time we did so we gave the 2 together atm. We will moving in a few weeks so right now we are building a pen and coop at the new house. I also bought starter feed for the babies.
