Rhode Island Reds or Golden Comets???

These little guys were sold a RIRs but they look more like GCs to me??? What do you think??

RIR.. My GC were completly yellow when they
were that small and are just now starting to get
their red feathers at 3 weeks old

I disagree. Those are Red Sex-links, aka Golden Comets.

Maybe it is because these are hatchery
quality RIR. Well if they are they don't look like
my GC's because they were never that dark
my friend who got some from a different place
than me also agrees that they weren't this dark..
Maybe the breeds used to get the GC's were
different?

All of my red sex links had the chipmunk striping.

I think they are Gold Comets....do RIR wing feathers come in that light. They look like my GC wings. Good luck. I am heading to TSC to get RIR's tonight.

I just brought home four sex links that look just like your chicks. One of mine has light brown feathers on the tip of the wings while the other three have white feathers coming in. Once I hit my 10 post mark I will post pictures of my four chickies.
