Rhode Island Reds... Standard or Bantam?

I posted a couple of days ago about these chickens, thinking one was cockerel and one was pullet. Found our both are girls!

Anyways, I calculated how old these girls are (approximately)- 34 weeks of age. They are VERY small for a standard Rhode Island, is it POSSIBLE they are Bantams? I saw standard Rhode Islands at a show, these girls are probably 1/2 their size...

No- those are standards. They'll fill out more when they get a little older. Exhibition birds can be really big sometimes.

Those are definitely bigs. Bantams are much smaller. I had a RIR bantam rooster who was much smaller than them. He was a great pet.

Well hopefully we're gunna get them a little bit bigger.

We have entered birds under a year old and did well. We're just gunna go to have fun
