Um yep That would be a safe guess, yours look like typical hatchery stock.

Thanks for the help at least now I know I need to build my day olds their own pen to keep them from crossing up

The most noticable thing is the production reds are much lighter in color than the heritage RIRs.

I had production reds for years and they really are great layers(and they never went broody) - they are considered dual purpose birds and you CAN use them for meat. I've switched breeds now but still have one 10 year old production red hen that still lays an egg about x2 a week in the summer.
 
Here is what happens when folks plaster Pine Grove's birds all over BYC. What can I say? I couldn't resist. I'm Looking forward to raising these.

they are now 4 1/2 weeks and they have changed drastically since then. will have to post some updated pics tonite.
