Chickens usually start to lay around 18- 20 wks. Just hang in there for a couple more wks even though it's tough! [IMG] I'm waiting for eggs right now!

I believe average for a pullet to begin laying, is about 19 weeks old. I've got 3 that are about 13-14 weeks right now

The great thing about RIRs is that they tend to be good winter layers. Mine slowed down a little, but still layed all winter long. If I had to guess about 5 eggs a week each. So not everyday, but darn near.

I have 8 RIRs. 2 of them started laying at 19 weeks. 2 more at 21 weeks, and all were laying by 23 weeks.
