Rhode Island Reds?

I'm curious what breed you think these three are and if they are hens or roosters???

the one in front is a rooster. other 2 look like pullets

They look like pullets to me. It looks like the one in front has been feather pecked on the back end. My hen had a big comb like the one in front.

Well that helps. Do you think they are Rhode Island Reds? Is there a way to tell?

Yes, hatchery rhode island reds! I have one and her eggs are a favorite! The eggs are huge and a beautiful brown. I get speckled eggs from my RIR.

I'm definitely getting more next time around, maybe 2! One of my favorite breeds!

Hatchery quality, red bird, called RIR. Normally, these are very productive and thus often known as production reds. Folks just love the number and size of eggs they lay.

How old are these? I have 12 pullets (fingers crossed that they are all pullets) and we are about to hit 6 weeks.. we are so worried that we have a rooster ..or 2! I think we are in the same boat waiting on time to see...
