Rhubarb and Custard are my two geese. Can anyone tell me why Rhubarb (who is actually a gander) is suddenly staggering about and collapsing. He is 2.

Hello and welcome to BYC! :frow Glad you joined.

You need to feed them a complete diet for waterfowl.
Thank you. I'm getting waterfowl food immediately.
Fortunately he seems to have recovered and spent most of the afternoon in his pool throwing water over his back with his head, I do wonder if he just got too hot laying in the grass. But I am taking your advice about feeding. Thanks again.

Ive been adding "Hydro hen" electrolytes/probiotics into my geese water just for a few days because this heat is bad here its real feel 100 degrees.
I would give your geese some vitamin supplement in their water for a few days too like Nutridrench, and/or some liquid B complex if you can get that. You can offer it for 12 hours and then switch to plain water for 12 hours and so on. some people recommend something called rooster booster but Ive never used it (yet lol)

Just an fyi, Rooster Booster is the brand name. When people mention Rooster Booster, they are usually referring to Poultry Cell. But not always because the Rooster Booster brand includes other products too.

If you are interested, here is a thread that has some good info as far as explaining the difference between the two products. As far as the gander's earlier issue, I think most would agree with your recommendation that Nutridrench is the best product for his situation.

I use rooster booster electrolytes with probiotics. It seems to help. Of course, I don't want to "not use it" in order to determine if it is working. We are in the mid 90's temps, but with heat indexes at 100 or above. https://www.amazon.com/Rooster-Booster-Vitamins-Electrolytes-Lactobacillus/dp/B00KMNTYHK/ref=sr_1_2?crid=2067T6JLSSX2K&keywords=rooster+booster+electrolytes&qid=1688870921&sprefix=rooster+booster+electrolytes,aps,173&sr=8-2
