Ribh's D'Coopage

This is one reason we are getting a hive. Like, seriously guys, you need to move out. Our native bees don't produce huge amounts of honey so we are not expecting to harvest sweetness any time soon but this is sort of embarrassing. The wildlife just feels free to move in & take over.

As a disclaimer, lots of people think it's a fad & won't use it but my supplier recommended it & I followed her advice because she has lovely healthy birds. I have 3 5 Litre tubs in their runs, ONE of which always has just a capfull of the apple cider vinegar in it. You don't need much. The one I use has a little garlic in it as well. The other 2 tubs have plain water but I admit the ACV water always goes down first.
Thanks Ribh.
I have added a splash to their water bottle and they seem to like it. They have a bowl of plain fresh water available too.

Chickens be crazy!!!
All this integrating is stressing me out.. the chickens too! I have decided I’m gonna step back and let things be.. I have fully integrated Nilky and babies :th... we also put the fence up so I let everyone out today.. still have to put netting of some sort on top..
Here are some pics of the them in the yard.. and the middles getting cozy with the BGs on the roosts.. and Nilky was sleeping on the roost tonight no matter how much protesting the babies were doing! Two of them followed her up and got on themselves and I had to catch the two black ones and put them up... this is the first night on a roost and not under mama so they were trying to get under mama on the roost!
The pics are poor cuz I took them with my phone and then took pics of the pics from my phone with my tablet .... can yall see the little boy?View attachment 1774745View attachment 1774746View attachment 1774747View attachment 1774748View attachment 1774750View attachment 1774751View attachment 1774753View attachment 1774754
Your fencing looks really neat WhoDatChick! I'm envious. I've just been using chicken wire and it looks horribly wobbly. :hit

Here is the coop for my babies. You can see the mushroom seat I use when I want to spend quality time with my girls. The big girls run is in the back with another mushroom seat for me.;)
I spent today shoveling and leveling out the moonscape of the big girls run and laid some grass seed and wire over the tree roots. I'm hoping it will protect my poor Copper Beech tree from being dug up.:hmm

That is a nifty little set up! :) I have a strangler fig in my big run [keep lopping the top of to keep in sort of under control] & my girls are still trying to dig through to China around it!
