I wish ~ though I do know some odd English words... And I taught YD some very mild *language* in Gaelic ~ but not the French I know. Why is is always easier to learn all the swear words first than essential things like how to ask for coffee & directions to the loo?

Which Gaelic, Scottish or Irish?

Scottish~ as it's the language of our ancestors.

Which Gaelic, Scottish or Irish?


I’ve started learning it on Duolingo; it is not a logical language! (Compared to the Latin ones, anyway!)

I've tried several times using different methods but I really have no ear & found it incredibly difficult. I have a smattering of words/phrases I can recognise written but so far that's about it. How do you find Duolingo?

Josh update!! He's 4 weeks post-op and doing great! His left leg is perfect and just needs to grow fur back, which he's working on.

His right leg is good, but his incision just opened a little. He not limping and doesn't appear to be in pain. The rescue is calling his doctor tomorrow and see if we need to do anything different.

He is just the sweetest little boy!
