Yes, check your air cells. With humidity, what works for some people can be an absolute disaster for others. If you have a still air styrofoam bator, it's quite likely that 50% will be too high and your eggs won't lose enough moisture. I have a Brinsea Octagon, and 40-45% humidity is what usually works best for me. But I know that some people prefer to go lower, like as low as 30%.
Faerytalefarm, unless you were already thinking that your air cells were too big, or unless you have some other logical reason for thinking that your humidity might be too low, I would leave it right where it was. 40% is not necessarily too low, and from reading everyone's incubation reports on here, I'd say that more poor hatching results are caused by over-humidifying chicks than by anything else.
