First let me say this isnt about cross breeding.

Now, I have a male melanistic ringneck cock. I saw some white ringneck hens on craigslist and was wondering what the cross of the two colors would look like? In other words, how does the white in ringneck pheasants work? Is it recessive or dominant?

Go to this site and click on the ringneck genetic calculator

    http://kippenjungle.nl/Overzicht.htm#kalkoencalculator

Your first cross of Mel/white will produce all melanistic chicks that are split to white. Melanistic (Tenebrosous) is dominant, white recessive

    Hope this helps:)
