ringneck dove's tail..help!

My doves(that i rescued..) tail is all dirty and the tips look ugly and gross bc she put it in her poop and water..how do i fix this or is it damaged forever?

Keep perching away from cage bars to keep tails from getting ratty. Use mounted feeders and waterers and change bedding often to keep it from getting wet and poop encrusted. Feed a healthy seed based diet (some greens, fruits, veggies, bugs, are okay for enrichment, but make sure they are dove appropriate) to get healthy, quick drying poops instead of big messy ones. The tail will molt here, usually around August, and will have new feathers that you can help keep healthy using these tips and others.

The tail feathers will get better the next time she moults. But her tail is just going to get dirty again if you don't stop her from putting them in her water.
