Ringneck Pheasant help needed.

Well I have a male pheasant driving me crazy with his crowing all morning. He has a female in the same pen as him, but she wants nothing to do with him. Every time he tries to mont her she bolts. Is there anything I can do to get him to stop crowing, before the neighbor camplain?

He could have 10 or even 20 hens and would still crow, its a spring/ breeding thing.

My dominant male crows off and on all night. I have gotten up to go to the bathroom at 2, 3, or 4 o'clock am and heard him crowing. Just like JJMR said, there may be a lady wandering around that is all lonesome and he would love to give her some companionship. Something I have never seen before until this year; my male crows so much that a few wild turkeys have wondering in, both Hens & Toms.

I've always heard that they will run together in the wild until breeding season and now they are coming to see what all the ruckus is about. I really hope to capture some photos.

BTW I GOT MY FIRST RING-NECK EGG TODAY YAY!!!!!! All of my pheasants are in full breeding mode now

Thanks for the replys.. I finally witness the pair doing the humpty hump.. Now just have to wait for the eggs hopefully. Wish I could get more pheasants but already know my neighbors hate me. Think am just going to stick to chukars and ducks until I could afford to more out of the city. I might give quail a try.

I wish I could get more birds. I just don't have the backyard for them. I finally got my first egg today. going wait a couple of days before I put it the incubator, and hopefully have a few more eggs to put in there.
