Ringneck Pheasent Chick Questions?

Hello my pheasants hit that age where there just killing each other now not literlay but there all busted up they all got about 15 sq ft each they are like 10 weeks old will any blinder fit them any recommendations thanks

I ordered pinless peepers on ebay. one seller was combining shipping so I got 200 for $34 after shipping. PM me and I'll dig out their name.

the product info says for pheasants 6 weeks and up! :) I would also suggest marking the most aggressive as culls and not breeding them. No sense passing on bad traits.

You are lucky you haven't had a problem with them before 10 wks normally they start to have problems 7-8 wks. Also don't cull the ones that are aggresive they are the best breeders and they aren't fighting because they are mean they simple don't have enough room and are fighting to become the dominant one.

If you want good birds for dog training, a trainer I know uses bobwhites because they will come home for dinner, so he just sets a collection trap and gets to use them over and over. Pheasants will just up and leave...

I also have pheasants for the first time. The reeves are fully feathered here at week 3 (but still in the brooder as I am not.taking chances with chicks that cost about 10 bucks a piece!) and the week 2 ringnecks (I have 60, 30 each from two different lines) are flying out every time I open the brooder.
:barnie I can't wait to put them outside! I keep comparing them to the quail I have at 2 weeks, the quail will be outside and off lights next week (week 3). I look at these pheasants and say "Gee! Hurry it up already!"

hey im a little worried about the guy with the busted head the rest are fine now and just seem to brutalize this guy it will be about a week before i get the blinders here and im worried there gonna kill him should i separate him until i get the blinders?
