I recently purchased a bunch of USDA NON-GMO organic seeds. One of the seed packs is a raw sprouted seed with sea salt. I'm concerned about the salt content.

is it ok for my ladies to eat the salty seeds or should I rinse and dry them first before adding them to the mix?

what are everyone's thoughts?

(ps and yes, i read the treat chart, thats where i got all my seed selection ideas lol!)

I don't understand how it can raw and sprouted and salted. Are they dried? It sounds like food for humans. I would not give chickens salted anything. The best and safest food for chickens is formulated chicken feed.

Yes dried. Brand is “go raw”. They aren’t like straight out of a pumpkin if that’s what your thinking. This is not for feed it’s for a treat mix.

All sound like delicious options.
Grocer didn’t even have them so looks like I don’t have to fret Hhahahaahaaaaahj!
