Some people believe that when a death occurs, you have to tell the bees. It's old country lore. Instead I told Henrietta, Daisy and Clementine, our 3 hens, and they all said that they are so sorry and do hope that your other girls are well and enjoying their lives. Go easy on yourself too, sometimes things happen and we never reall understand why, but whatever you do don't blame yourself.
