Hi guys,

a few of your here will know our story, so for those of you that did, I just wanted to let the community know that this morning, little Beep went to sleep; I don't know what happened, if he had a virus or bumped his head but he had experienced several Grand Mal seizures, and as you know, birds are fantastic at hiding problems and if they can't hide them anymore you know it's serious.

at about 09:30 this morning while we were at the vets I made the hard decision to euthanise him and so he died in my arms getting the most loving cuddles.

Norbert is doing fine, he doesn't know yet, but i feel that it is probably for the best if i send him to a friend who has acres of land and a whole flock of buddies for him to meet (he might even get a girlfriend!)

I suspect that this will be one of the last few posts I make here and i'd like to thank everyone for all their support over the last 3 years.

Thanks Everyone.

I’m so sorry for you and Norbert @Leader Bee !
I know how much you loved and cared for Beeb beep, I know the pain of losing such sweet souls so my heart goes out to you both now.
You gave Norbert and Beeb beep a wonderful life while you could and whatever it was you couldn’t have changed what happened to Beep, no matter what he knew he was loved and that’s what is important.

For Norbert, not having Beep around so suddenly will be a shock to him too, so making sure he has new opportunities to bond with other geese like you’re doing is the right thing to do, but keep in mind that you are also his family, so if it’s possible I would encourage you to visit him as much as possible as he’s settling in with the new flock. It may also help you to have closure knowing he’s alright in his new home.

I hope the best for you and Norbert in this difficult time, Beeb beep is at peace wherever he may be now. 🌈

:hit Sorry for your loss. Sounds like Beep Beep was well loved. :love

:old I have raised small animals, on and off, for over 50 years. You never know what the future holds, but I hope you have the opportunity to have more animals. Until then, take care.

I know how much you love them and they have been your family for a long time. I loved the video you shared. Geese are just so amazing and yours have been so special. Please consider the girlfriend Idea. Even think about letting him be a parent to a baby. My ganders make great dads. Girls do make less noise and you love your kiddos so much. But I think its wonderful that you could let him pass in such a honorable way. My heart goes out to you... My heart also hopes you get to continue with the birds you love.
