This morning, my poor Bigfoot, a buff brahma, drowned in our pond.

Thanks to Kiki and Maple for bullying her into jumping in.

I'll get some pictures of her up when I download the pix that are my camera.
RIP Bigfoot, you were loved and will be missed.

Very sad news.....don't you just hate bullies?

A very 'low down the pecking order' girl of mine went into our pond a couple of weeks ago, but I managed to get her out as there was so much pond weed that her body was supported.

what a good name, Bigfoot. I lost a chicken I named Gina after the Gino Il Pollo show, an Italian cartoon. I decided to name one of my female babies of 2012, Gina La Nuova. the New Gina. I have only 2 females of 6, the other hen's name is Amber, she had two brown stripes on her back like her daddy had, the others don't have it on them. Her wings cover it though most of the time, but it's just something I noticed a few times on her.
