last night an owl broke in and killed 2 of my 4 hens they are all freaked out and running aroun i think it was an owl because the heads and necks up to the brest bone are gone the hens were 3 or 4 hundred yards away from eachother when i found them. the question can i shoot an owl that is killing livestock? will he be back again tonght? when do they usually atack

That could also be several other predators by the MO did you see the owl? Sorry for your losses....

no i truly didnt i didnt even hear anything what else could it be? what do you recommend doing and i knoe this isnt the right section but what should i do because all of the surivors dont lay at all on lays about once a week the other hasnt sience fall

Do you have raccoon, weasel, in your area? there are some other predators that only eat parts as well and perhaps someone else will chime in with more experience with these other animals, but does not sound like an owl type kill to me.
