Thanks for your well wishes! It has been a very trying day and the tears come at will making for a throbbing headache! His sister, Stash (short for mustache), is doing better than I expected. I thought that she would cry for her brother but so far she is not meowing excessively. Here is her picture.

Shedding tears with you--seeing your pics reminded me all over again of losing my beloved Frostie. His sister Lacie did a fine job of trying to step into his shoes, as I'm sure your Stash will--somehow, they know.

So sorry, thought i'd post this silly picture of our house cat that passed away last year.........

It was a knit cap to keep him warm, he had a lot of old age hair loss.

Seventeen years is a long time. Sorry you lost your friend. We lost our sixteen year old kitty a few years back; it was one of the blackest days of my life, the day I had to take him to be put down. I still shed tears over him when I think about that day.

That pic of your cat made me laugh out loud! Thanks! Since Stash is 17 also, I'm not sure how much longer she will last. The vet said that sometimes the loss of a pet's companion will trigger their demise so I should not be surprised by it if it comes. I hope not soon, cause I'm pretty much cried out!
