RIP Rick the rooster

Something got my sweet buddy Rick this morning

What a beautiful boy. I’m so sorry this happened.

I followed the trail of feathers to a hole. The paw prints are in the sand by the hole, and you can see where his feathers went through the sand.

I've had a pair of bobcats show up on my security cameras this week, but i thought they were nocturnal predators.

Rick was in a bachelor pad by himself that sat right on the edge of my field.

I am sorry for your loss, this has happen to me a few times. I get the feeling this was a dog that did it?

Maybe a fox. Was not a domestic dog.

I don’t know the first thing about wild animal tracks — but those look a lot like the tracks when the cat stomps through my flowerbed. Some kind of cat? Big enough to get a rooster?

Yes i agree with you, they would be out in the day time. Mine was killed by dog, i did not know till one day i seen him doing it.
