In the Brooder
we lost one of our chicks (from the clutch of 13) through the night. The are about 3 weeks old now... No obvious sign of trauma or illness.
Anything I need to check for before she's laid to rest after school today? What about the rest of the chicks and mama. They're still inside.
Kids away to school trying to put on brave faces because a wee boy in their class lost his dad overnights few nights ago and they know this is a chick & he was Z's dad (but it was our chick & they loved her). It's such a shock to everyone and he's only 7.
I've said something's happened we've not know about or Seen or it was one of those things but anything I should be mindful of ?
