rir - boy/girl???

these are my two rir -(lucy and cookie)- just about 3 and a half weeks old. never had chickens before but "lucy" has tree trunk legs, a redder comb and a totally different "rooish" tail...
also, lucy seems to herd the rest of the flock and is definately the most self assured and outgoing...
any thoughs?

It may be a little early to tell yet but I'm thinking your hunch is right. Lucy may become a Luke.

From the stance and the character you describe, you definitely may have a little roo there.

i have three chicks i suspect to be roos (lucy included) - any suggestions on which roo to keep -
if i am right then i'll have one wyandotte roo, one barred rock (who at 3 weeks is a bit aggressive already) and lucy the rir roo...
