The former owner told me this is an 18-month-old Rhode Island Red hen but I'm having my doubts. She has much whiter legs than my other two RIRs and lays white eggs.

Here are two views of her:

There Production Reds (hatchery type Rhode Island Reds).

White eggs thought? My productions only lay brown
I think it is a production red

She has brown ear lobes....I thought brown ear lobes always meant brown eggs. I'm pretty new to chickens and am confused.

A lot has to do with if the hatchery uses a cross to produce there Production Reds or if the bred them solely from a Rhode Island Reds.
If they (the Hatchery)crossed a Rhode Island Red with a Leghorn then it is possible that they could lay White Eggs, if not as they are young then when they get older.

From what I read there are 3 type of Production Red.
1 - Is bred solely from the R.I. Red (Like the New Hampshire)
2 - Is a R.I. Red /Leghorn cross
3 - Is a R.I. Red /New Hampshire cross (this cross I believe is only used by one or two hatcheries and not a true production red to some)
