What all can you cross with a RIR? Arn't Comets and red sexlinks half RIR?

Yes a RIR Rooster and Delaware or silver laced wyandotte hen will give you a Red star. There's others you can cross with a RIR but can't remember.

Does anybody know what the product of a RIR roo and Black Sex Link hen will look like? I know it won't be sex linked. I have some pipping now but I also have pure RIR in there. I was wondering if they will be obviously different or if they will look similar.

They will probably have black down.

I have a hen that is that cross..she is the one everyone comments about when they stop by.No guessing as to the breed she was a planned cross. She has a black head and chest(I believe by memory) redish brown middle but it's got black in it and her back third is black as well. I don't have a picture of her but can get one..need one anyways

I will be having more of this cross..hatchery sent me sex links by accident and since I really like this one hen I plan to cross them onto my RIR's when I need a replacement.
Edited to add I cross the RIR with White Rhode Islands for a red sex link-or any other fancy name you wish to give it.

I thought Golden Comets are an RIR Roo on a Buff Orp. They should produce a great layer. And have some size. This is one of my 4 month old pullets. A super nice bird.
