I am writing this post for my pastor and his wife .... they have a RIR Hen that has not laid a egg in about a wk. and she has almost lost all her back feathers( from a very rowdy roo ), she's breathing kinda heavy with her mouth open , and bottom is red and bumpy kinda and she is contracting like she wants to lay a egg ... they have put her by herself , she is well over 6mths. no other hens are acting like this . i went by there this afternoon and looked to see if she was egg bound , but nothing ..looks normal , just contracting like she was going to lay a egg. comb and face looks normal she is walk around normal ( actually got away from us getting her out of the pen ) if anybody could please help .. much and many thank yous !!
