I really wish people would do more research. My 17 week olds still arent laying. Hopefully soon but not yet.I had a friend who is thinking about getting chickens, who asked me how many eggs my 8 week olds are giving me lol.

I shouldn't be making fun. I did do 4 years of planing and research before we finally got chickens.I had a friend who is thinking about getting chickens, who asked me how many eggs my 8 week olds are giving me lol.
Haha right! We had wanted to get some for a long time, but being home and having time to build our coop and get it ready was what made us do it this year! But eggs were only sold out in store for like a weekWell, she wasn’t clueless about that. People are stress buying chicks. Little do many of them know it’ll be 5-6 months before they get eggs.![]()

Lol! Maybe she should think twice about getting chickens.I had a friend who is thinking about getting chickens, who asked me how many eggs my 8 week olds are giving me lol.
Looks like a sweet rooster to me. I'd have him in a shot to keep my girls in check !!Hi all! First time chicken owner, we got two RIR “hens” in our flock. One turned out to be a very aggressive rooster. He went to go live at our friends farm last week, where there are no kids and they could use a bossy guy. Our other RIR is sweet as can be. Eats from your hand, doesn’t mind anyone being close to it, lays down near you when you are sitting in the grass. I heard what sounded like a poor attempt at a crow and is getting a little bossier with the girls but still super sweet! My husband thinks rooster! What do you all think? Pictures attached!
