RIR info please

I've got one RIR and I love her... Gertie. She's a little worker bee. She love to scratch and keep busy. She's my friendliest gal.

If you get baby chicks be sure to handle them a lot so that they are really friendly.

Love 'em. only ones that are laying.. they are cold hardy and mine are very quiet, calm and friendly. They love to play with my pug through the fence. They can easily peck at him but they don't.
Good choice...Great light brown eggs.

I think RIRs are a great choice for a beginner(or anyone). I've had them for 8 or 9 years and they've all been really nice birds - my roo was nice too. I've never had one go broody.
