RIR Local or Hatchery?

Getting close to ordering chicks and was wondering if best to order from local or a hatchery. Local not vacinated.

I got mine from a hatchery but I chose not to get them vaccinated.

Go local if you're satisfied with what you see there in terms of animal husbandry. You won't have to worry about shipping heat and stress, and if your local source is a breeder, you'll likely get better quality stock anyway than ordering from a hatchery.

If your local source looks healthy and happy I would go with them so there will be no stress on the chicks from shipping. Good luck and you will love having chicks.

P.S. none of mine have ever been vaccinated.
