1 came up to me today and sat by my foot, I didn't try to pet her, I didn't want her to be afraid... haha she kept looking at me with the 1 eye head tilt... she sat there for about 1/2 hr, I hope this is a turn around maybe they are coming around to me again!!!

Time, time and more time I think. Remember, chicks can change personality as they get older - especially when they start to reach POL. Keep being great with the others...maybe she'll watch & decide to follow the flock! Especially if it means yummy treats........
I can catch the rooster in my avatar anytime. He eats out of my hand. The others haven't been handled near as much, so I can't just walk out and catch them. Once caught though they calm down very fast.
One thing I like about my RIR roosters is that they have not one time tried to attack or hit myself or my grandkids.
Isn't that something! I have an Olive Egger, and she would never let me touch her until she started squatting. Now I can pet her anytime I want, and I often pick her up too. She's totally changed!
i have found that my RIR's love consistency. While the other chickens dont mind change...my Reds appear to have a routine. Out in morn and walk directly to house behind me...if i veer off to the horse pasture, they stand and act like they are lost. If the rooster follows me they are slow to follow him, but the do eventually follow his lead. When we had a death in the family and had others taking care of them for awhile, they quit laying. Now they are back on the same old routine and they are beginning to produce again... That is all i can figure...they like routine....
I love all my chickens whether they are friendly or not. That's why I protect them all. My 2 reds are not the friendly per se, but they have taken on a different personality when I started giving them all meal worms. The one that has been the flightiest takes them from my hand now. No way would that be last week. Just like it's been said here, food overcomes the strangest fears.
As with any other trait behavior varies from strai to strain. My large fowl Reds are annoying in that they're always in my way. I have to push them aside with my foot to get past them at times.
