My little RIR is the most docile of the 3. They are 12 weeks almost and when I bend over to pet her she squats down so I can pick her up, feed her or just stroke her. I would say some are tuffer than others and this little one you have needs extra attention. Some birds do not like to be handled but most might like a stroke in you arms. My Rock like to stand on the coop top and have me love and stroke her till the cows come home, try to pick her up she struggles to be let down but will come to me for treats and soft touches on her own while I sit and hang out.
