Rir or red Sex link

I am planning to breed my own Rir, red Sex link, and black Sex links next year. My question is will I be able to tell the difference between Rir and red Sex link chicks when they hatch? I know the red Sex link roos will be light colored but am concerned if I will be able to distinguish the pullets from the Rir chicks? Thanks.

Yes, you should be able to distinguish them. All this requires very good, very specialized, pure bred parent stock.

Ok cool, I figured this would be an easier route as I would only need one rooster.

I also plan to try producing red and black sex links as well as RIR. I know my parent stock is pure bred, but being a newbie, I don't know about quality. What constitutes a quality RIR? Dark color, I am sure. But what else?
