RIR outpacing other chixjs , is it a too?

We picked up three chicks from a feed store a week and a half ago. The little guys are two weeks old today. The IR is growing faster than the Americana and Buff Orpington. Should we worry that we have a roo? Or is she just a faster growing breed?

Actually, I think it is usually a faster growing breed. Orps at eleast are slower maturing. I certainly wouldn't base my guess on sex just on size.

You have the same breed mix that we do. Our RIRs are a couple days older than the others so we just always expected them to mature a little faster. The Americaunas are holding their own with the Rhode Islands though. And the buffs just won't allow to be picked on. All in all they get along great! Often times hang out together by personality rather than breed.
