Here you go then....

The Incredible Egg 4H Unit

This has always been for free, but I think OSU wants $5 now...I'll link the PDF that is still online, and you can decide if its worth going to the OSU extension catalog link to pay for it
https://catalog.extension.oregonsta...oregonstate.edu/files/project/pdf/4-h1500.pdf

However, Ohio 4H apparently has incorporated it into their curriculum (or had it first) and has it free online here:

The Chick Embryo Development video (fascinating to watch)

EDITED TO ADD...this new video that came up for the first time after my favorite one above that shows really good 3D (and why candling looks like it looks)

And of course the candling photos so you can see what you ought to be seeing when you candle the developing eggs (great fun to do with either incubator or broody hen):

I've used this with practically all ages...from little guys just old enough to read to middle schoolers (and yes some high schoolers if you add more science information and especially do extensions such as incubator hatching).

For the older kids, check your local 4H. Ours had an excellent Vet Science which we did with our kids. Really lays a good foundation for animal care and uses what you've got in that big backyard for educational purpose.

Have fun!
