RIR RC's OR Buckeyes wanted

Did you check with Chickielady? I know she has Buckeye's, but she's so busy building her house she rarely posts much anymore. Just thought I'd mention it! I know she ships eggs too.

I did and she said she sold her entire flock off...some to Yakima & some to a lady in Bend or Burns or Hermiston...LOL I contacted the lady in Eastern Oregon but haven't gotten a response, yet...

Thank you!!!

Hi,
I'm new to this... RIR is Rhode Island Reds? I have a flock of 19 pure Rhode Island Reds, one rooster and 18 hens. They have been laying for about two months now and I'm getting about 10-12 eggs a day. I imagine they are fertilized, I've seen the rooster on the hens several times. What is NPIP? How do you ship eggs? I've had chickens for seven years and never had a single sick bird. Here's a couple photos of my birds:

Pretty birds, but I'm looking for Rosecomb Rhode Island Reds. Yes, RIR = Rhode Island Red. There are several threads on BYC about how to package & ship eggs safely. NPIP is the National Poultry Improvement Plan. I've been on the list to get inspected but it hasn't worked out. I'm preparing for an inspection this fall (if everything goes well) and I don't want to take on anymore non-NPIP certified birds for now. Thank you, though!
