I know it's been asked a thousand times before, but each photo is different. I have 4 RIR. I think they may be crossed as there is some dark green luminescence at the tail area. They hatched on 13 July (I got given eggs). All along I've thought they were hens. As they my other roosters were all obviously rooster at a much earlier age. Now that I'm expecting them to start laying, I'm wondering if they are perhaps roosters. Any comments please. I hope the photos are clear enough.

Can we get full body pics, including the tail area?
Thank you, I've added pics to the original post.

These guys must be slow developing, but I see saddle feathers on A and D. The lighting on B and C isn't great, so I'm not sure... If they're really around 20 weeks, I'd be expecting to see very obvious indicators, if they were cockerels or pullets.

Oh, and the green sheen is normal. Dark feathers sheen, on all birds, no matter the gender.

This is why it's so confusing for me. They definitely hatched 13/7. But with others I've always been able to tell. These are a good size bird already. My suspicion is 2 roosters and 2 hens. But maybe I'm being hopeful. But I agree for a rooster the development is usually obvious much earlier.
