RIR X Silkie

Hi. Wow this is my first thread on BYC. I was considering breeding a Rhode Island Red cockerel with a Silkie hen. I plan to make a great layer with fantastic broodiness and in the male good looks. I plan to sell them and I have been offered a free Silkie hen. So if anyone know a bit about this wonderful hybrid please inform me about them. Thank you

Wow, never heard of a RIR Silkie cross! But it might make for a good layer, and a pretty bird too! I am not sure if there is a thread here on BYC on this particular cross, but there is a thread on Silkie Crosses that you might look thru. Maybe you will find your cross here....
