RIR?

My RIR chicks are 3 weeks old, but in looking at other RIRs in this website, they all seem to be dark. Only a few of my chicks are dark, the rest are light-colored with brown here and there. Is this normal for an RIR or did I get something other than RIRs?

my RIR babies looked rather like little chipmunks when they were small; now they're dark mahogany. Some of the babies were lighter than the others, but they're pretty much all the same shade now that they've grown into their adult plumage.

I'll try to get a picture of them at 3 weeks old. They are only a couple days old in the picture I posted. I'm just learning to post a picture to this forum. Thanks.

my RIR wasnt a dark color, but she was more reddish that yours. your's actually look a lot liek what my New Hampshire looked like. she is now a beautiful butterscotch color.
