When I got my chicks I always wondered what they looked like growing up. I searched for progression pictures but didn't find too many. Today I took this picture of my girls.

i definately think that if i get chickens, RIRs will be one of my first choices! they are so beautiful.

I was looking at your post ( for showing pictures of all the chicken types).

I must say that there are some Beautiful and unusual birds out there but for me the choice came down to.
1. Brown Egg production.
2. Friendly (less likely to go broody)
3. Hardy (Hot/Cold)

Why can't you have chickens if you can have ducks?
